Saturday 16 January
Sleeping in isn't possible when there is someone sweeping stones outside your window. It's nice having no pressure. I eat the remaining fried rice for breakfast and tidy things on my phone. The rain comes down like crazy and we have to mop it out the door. The poor guard has to find shelter outside. We discuss part of the lesson. It's after 3pm by the time we eat lunch. We go for a walk down the road and out into the area where the Massi have their village. It looks so much like Africa. Just like the pictures. There are deep rivets in the ground from the rain I think. Children herding animals pose for a picture from Malcolm. The mud sticks so badly to our soles. We have closing sabbath when we get back and eat smoothies and popcorn over a movie.
