Ni Hao Everyone!!!

Well I have been a very busy Rennie since my last blog so here goes!!! Whilst in Beijing I went to the forbidden city, the summer palace and climbed all the way to the top fo the great wall in Mutianyu. I've also attributed to the many bicyclists and rented one out to check out the parks! It was safer than you think and the parks were beautiful, especially Jingshan Park at the top of the hill at sunset (shame it was smoggy!). I checked out the Olympic park too which was very pretty but the Chinese people seem to be more interested in taking pictures of a small white blonde girl than of the sties around them, I have no idea why but I do know that I couldn't handle being a celebrity!! The overnight train to Shanghai was unevenful and (a little) disgusting but Shanghai made up for it! The Bund and the French Concession had both beautiful architecture but also a blinder of some nightlife!!! Me and my new group went to our fist chinese club and were astounded at the lack or dancing, I think we made up for it though! Shanghai meant world Expo and if any of you guys are going to china before Oct I seriously recommend going! Like Disneyland but with countries instead of theme park rides, and some of the propaganda coming from the exhibitions were the most hilarious thing in the world! Shanghai also meant skyscrapers and rooftop views, I wangled the group into the cloud 9 bar on the 87th floor of a hotel but we were all a little underdressed and we got chucked out after 10 minutes, but the views were amazing! (I promise pictures are coming!!!) The only things with china are the heat and the food, it's so weird that it gets hotter when you leave the buildings, I'm so used to it being the other way around! and these dumplings after a while get very boring, some scorpion livened it up though! Yes I ate some Scorpion! Crunchy chicken tasting!! I have proof too! So here in Xi'an and I saw the terracotta warriors today which was amazing but i'll never do it justice so wait for the pics! I'm getting on the boat on the yangste tommorrow so I'll update when I hit dry land! So far a very busy hot but enjoyable trip in China! Talk soon guys!!! xxx
