Put my tourist hat on today & went on a tour. Was just what I needed to get orientated with where everything is. A little slow to start but then we hit Corcavado & saw Christ, the Redeemer. Loved it. The sun even came out! Was ridiculously amused that I had to travel up by escalator so ran ahead & made my tour guide take loads of photos with me riding them up & down with Christ in the background. Soooo American!

Enjoyed the Steps of Lapa & managed to find a tile with Princess Diana to photograph due topini with.

V late lunch at Kilogramme. Was naughty & ate sushi despite it not being included. I know, am such a rebel ;).

After tour dashed straight out to Ipanema beach to watch the sun go down. I then walked the length of Ipanema & Leblon accompanied by joggers, skaters & walkers in speedos & tennis shoes.

Then had a beer in a beachside cafe surrounded by men who kept staring at me for my most unladylike behaviour ! Oh what's with drunken old brazilian men & watching the swimming???!
