Great Place, you must ride the Cable Car standing on the outside.

We only stayed 1 night in La on our way to San Francisco but we can tell you the immigration queues can be pretty long when you arrive. Also we took a taxi from the airport to Venice Beach where we stayed and the price we paid for the taxi there was less than the ride back to the airport (Think the drive took the long was back)

Well the flight down to Sydney from Cairns was intresting, the weather can be changeable in November so we flew into a Thunderstorm and the plane did go up and down like a rollercoaster. We decided to stay in a Bed & Breakfast in Kewerra Beach which is about 30 mins north of Cairns. We were told that we could use public transport to get around, my advice, if you can hire a car. We did and were glad of it, the weather when we were then mid nov was very very hot and humid, who wants to stand around waiting for a bus. MTR (Mass Transit Railway) The very best way to get around is to use the MTR, it is fast, clean, cheap and safe. We found that by booking a hotel close to an MTR stop we did not spend lots of time getting anywhere. Also when you come back loaded down with things you have brought you do not have to stagger to far. We stayed at the Exclisor Hotel in Causeway Bay, great hotel and only 200 yds from an MTR stop.
