With five fish to choose from, like cod and trout (TK), I had the waiter choose what she felt was the most fresh: the cod. Expecting a few nuggets similar to my previous experience, I was surprised to say the least at what I found on my plate.

A huge ass fried piece of fish. Literally. Each flaky layer tasted of butter and sea, with a texture unparalleled to its previously tasted opponents back in the US. With fries and ketchup (only vinegar they have is malt, go figure) it filled a part of me that had been empty for some time (stomach and heart...take a pick).

Yes, it's in a touristy location on the main TK street, and yes, it's cheap fast food. But don't judge so quickly....

...Because this has been my most memorable meal of being abroad.
