Another bus trip today! Ergh! We got to the bus station at half seven and again our bus was late. After finally getting on, we drove three hours to the border, where we had to be cleared by police and then by immigration before getting through to Bolivia!! The boarder is still on lake Titicaca and is really picturesque. We had a hurried lunch at the most dreadful place and they took so long preparing our food that we almost missed our connecting bus into La Paz. They even had to go and buy supplies as there were a whole 12 of us! It was a three course meal though, for 20 boliviano ... Which equates to just less than 3 dollars. The bus into La Paz was like a trip from hell. Mad driving. They actually went down the bus and took photos of all of the passengers for what we were told was for identification purposes!! La Paz to look at is phenomenal. It is massive!! We got to our hotel and quickly went to book Death Road mountain biking before they shut. We booked for 500 boliviano. I went to get cash out at the ATM and left my card in there. Lucky I have a spare! I cancelled it in the evening... And am hoping that no one got hold of it before then. Went to a fabulous restaurant for our last dinner together as a group and got back pretty late. Flopped into bed all ready for the 7am start to Death Road.
