After breakfast at the guesthouse we caught a bus to Togendai station, then caught a cable car up to the sulphurous vapour erupting area and ate black eggs, which apparently add 7 years to your life. After wondering around the area, it then started to rain so we went back to the station. Some of the girls were starting to irritate me, Kaitlyn and Jan so we decided to get a cable car back and then get a boat across the lake to look at the check point and a few of the other sights.
We ended up running into Steven and Julie who were also planning to do the same thing, so we caught the pirate ship across the lake and enjoyed the amazing scenery. When we arrived it took us a little bit to get our bearings but we eventually found where we needed to go and found the checkpoint. The checkpoint was really interesting. Most of it had been restored so it was original but it was still a really good exhibition. After the checkpoint we looked at some of the many shrines and also a Samurai museum. We then wondered through the village and looked at around. It was such a pretty place. We then decided to go back and get a boat across the lake and then get a cable car up to the open-air museum but once we arrived back we were all pretty tired so decided to get a bus back to the hotel and chill out. Later that day I met the group for dinner, then I called it a night.
