I haven't been disciplined about keeping this blog, mostly out of laziness, but also I've been so busy (and I've had to battle it out with 4 other internet users for comp time).
I left off somewhere last week...
Friday
Spent the morning shopping at Ala Moana and Ward St, and got snorkelling equiptment. We had dinner at The Pacific Club and headed out to the Windward side of the island, to Lanikai facing the Mokolua islands (see picture). It was the small beach to the side of the Beach House we rented with the d*** ons in '94. There was no one else around for ages. The water was warm, but choppy with a strong current- so it wasn't good for snorkelling.
Saturday
John, Mum and Dad went on the trail to the Nu'u'anu look out. The hike took them four hours, and, apparently, was well worth it. Although the paid for it days after in stiff leg muscles. John describes the hike and beautiful and interesting, you got to see views of the island that you seldom get to see. When they came back we went with Grandad to Gyutaku for dinner, and then had a lazy afternoon spent either shopping or the swimming pool and spa.
That night we went to back to Sam Choy's to celebrate Fran's 21st (it was his birthday in England) and because of a mix up in the kitchens we got free nachos, and starters.
Sunday
Today we made a trip out to Kailua beach in the afternoon. It was very busy with locals and tourists because the waves were powerful.
More later; getting naggerd at for comp!
