Aloha!!!!

Finally got around to writing a blog! It's the fourth day here in O'ahu and it is boiling hot. I didn't get the chance to write an entry for the first couple of days as the bloody airline lost my bag, which had my laptop and all my clothes in. . Finally got it back though!!! :)

The first day of the holiday was spent mostly shopping (with a quick detour up to the Pali Look out) for supplies and clothes. We made a nostagic pilgrimage over to Kailua's Long's and then over to Hawaii Kai where we had lunch and then hit ROSS DRESS FOR LESS. The rest of the day was spent at Ala Moana Beach across the road. Not very exciting stuff, just getting ourselves orientated and getting esentials.

In the morning, the sum starts to rise about 5.30, and because of jet-lag, most of us are up to see the sky turn from grey to a beautiful and delicate shell pink before the sun comes up over the mountains and it starts to get hot. John, Mum, Dad and Fran have been going to play tennis first thing too.

On Wednesday I finally got my case in the morning. In the afternoon we headed out to Lanikai. The water was so warm, we swam for an hour. While we were swimming we spotted a little turtle swimming close by.

We had lunch at Sam Choy's on thursday and then drove out past Wainenai to the end of the road, and the path toward Kaena Point. We didn't hike out there, but sat and watched the waves, and we saw another turtle.
