Well we finally made it to Phuket...after spending 6 days in Koh Tao, which is much longer than we had planned mainly because it was so hard to leave! We did plenty of snorkelling..making a couple of day trips out on a boat to some amazing spots. The sea was quite choppy and for a minute we thought helly was going overboard, of course I would have jumped in after her but thankfully we made it...we went to a place called shark bay, and were actually snorkelling with sharks!! was so cool. then our insane snorkelling instructor let us feed the fish when we got to mango bay on the boat..and i never knew how aggressive little fish can be when they want food. One of them actually bit kate and let a tiny red mark...we were going to do a diving course here but decided to wait till Bali where we have more time and its less busy. So we had an awesome time in Koh Tao and thought it was time to leave..and booked our boat and bus ticket to Phuket..where we will stay a couple of nights then make our way down to Phi phi (where The Beach was filmed). However after being told that it was literallly one boat trip then one bus trip..we soon realised that throughout most journeys in Thailand no one has a clue whats going on.and we acutally had to change boats twice (not really knowing where we were) then got on one bus for about an hour, where we were then shoved off to wait for another bus which only took about 20 mintues..where we then had to wait an hour and a half for our final bus which took us about 5 hours to get to Phuket...was knackering! the most weird and chaotic journey yet. all in all it took us 15 hours..but we made it. We are paying 200 Baht each to stay here(which is about 3 pounds) a night and are only staying a couple of nights, as we are going to book our ticket to phi phi today. its just a stop over, as there is not a lot here in phuket to see...thats about it really so far!! we are going to find a cd to burn our pictures onto..then we can upload them. I have been very good with the camera and am starting to annnoy everyone with the amount of photos i am taking!! haha..it is worth it though. Still meeting lots of people..and some australians who will show us around sydney and melbourne when we get there.
