we made it to Koh Phi Phi! was an easy journey from Phuket..just one bus this time then one boat and didnt take that long. But was absolute chaos when we arrived..as normally we just turn up and find somewhere to stay (has worked all this time) but Koh Phi Phi was a different story..there were so many people in the same situation as us...and after about an hour and a half of looking up affordable places to stay, we found two..so that we could spend one night slighty away from the beach in the hills (with a pool) for one night and the next 3 directly next to the beach. However we were pessimistic about the one in the hills it has turned out to be the much better place to be! its a shame we were only there for one night..its awesome! really cool little bungalows like tree houses and the owners were so much fun. We didnt want to leave, but had to as had booked another place to stay in about 10 minutes away on the island..This was a disaster. The worst place by far! We had a pretty crapy day, as our 'bungalow' (baisically a few bamboo weaves on sticks) has no beds just one matress on the floor for all 3 of us..and thats it. The shower came out smelling of sewage..and was a suspicious brown colour..we found at least 3 cockroaches in the space of 10 mintues...and came to discover that a nest of ants had taken residence in my rucksack. On top of that it is a trek from the town..its far too seculded and quiet..and the beach isnt even that nice. Oh..and also Kate lost her ipod..just to help things! luckily i found it later...but still...not a good day!! However as we made friends with people staying in our one night hill residence and the owners..we went back today and hung out there..theres an amazing kind of lake swimming pool and a tree house where we all just chilled watching dvds for the afternoon when it was too hot for the beach. So we are making the most of the situation!! Its really not that bad......anyway,thats all the updates for now. We are probably heading to Koh Lanta on Friday..so we are looking forawrd to see the next island and the exhausting days spent on the beach , swimming in the sea, eating, sleeping, partying...its a hard life...!
