So the rest of Sydney was good..we cruised around a bit just to get used to the car (slightly scary starting off in Sydney, but we managed...just!) We also made a trip out to the Blue Mountains which was beautiful, as we went on a really nice day. We didnt drive though...as we found a cheap train ticket as we pretty much would have got lost, as its quite a hard drive and would have taken about 4 hours! It was only 2 by train...So we have many more photos of that day for you to be jealous of. We then left for Newcastle the next day....our first official road trip! We have come to realise that its pretty much just one road the whole way up the coast, and just by chance we even found their house straight away as we stayed with Hells friends who just moved there. Didnt do too much in Newcastle...we were lucky to catch the surfest weekend, so saw some pretty cool surfing and generally just chilled on the beach. JJ was kind enough to take us out for a Thai takeout which was amazing being the scummy travellers we are! Then we decided it was time to move on so headed on up to our next destination - coffs harbour..(strange place). The whole stay mainly consisted of bowling, playing cards, jenga, building card towers, drinking, sleeping...as it poured with rain constantly until the last couple of days when we chilled on the beach and did some pretty good body surfing. We did have one pretty horrfic night in which some drunk idiot projectile vomited in our dorm..managing to reach about 6 bunks including ours...it was no ordinary puke...it was minced meat betroot purple red wine vom, just to give you a visual! This was about midnight, so me hells and another girl could not stand sleeping in the stuff or smelling it as it was pretty strong and all over our clothes and bedsheets so we went and slept on the sofas till about 5, where we tried to brave it back and thankfully he had cleaned it all up (too right) and the smell had gone as he aired out the room too. The next day he was pretty embarrassed so payed for all our washing, said a million sorrys and left straight away because of the shame! So it was then off to Byron Bay! Again the drive was easy...one road all the way, and again we found the hostel straight away and parked just fine. So thats where we are now! Have pretty much been at the beach, been out in the town and chilling in our hostel which is really nice. Just about to go and book some surf lessons which should be good, then heading off to Surfers Paradise in the next few days. Really enjoying it here, even though it was raining today we still went to the beach! Alls well here, hope it is over there'
All our love Helly and Ally xxxx
