Wow, it really has been a long time since we updated this! so sorry to all! However we are happy to say that lots has been happening since we last wrote..so where to begin....So we headed to bryon bay where we arrived safely in our beauty of a car!!we ventured around byron and felt it was our duty to have a stab at a few surf lessons and so now we can almost say we are pros!!hahah.A few nights out were done and we corrupted 3 norway girls into our way of life..as in our drinking games! It rained a bit and so felt it was time to move on to the next destination surfers paradise where we picked up a few hitchhikers which was pretty amusing!one of which included a strange sweedish girl who pretty much snooored the whole way there. We finally made it after a bit of a wobbly ending as we forgot to put more water in the car but its ok P.K from palm beach helped us along the way.Surfers was beaming with sun rays and so it was a relaxing afternoon chilling by the beach which was literally 200metres from our hostel. Id like to say a stumble away, so us fatties didnt have to walk far. This week involved alot of punch nights for $5 all you can drink! That was pretty much all you could do in surfers but we made some good roomies as our hostel was really fun so this summer we will be making a road trip to cornwall to visit her!Time flew and we moved on to Brisbane which was pretty boring so we didnt stay too long there only really a stop over. So then it was upwards and onwards to a place called Mooloolaba which was pretty and peaceful just what we needed after a hectic week in surfers!WE just chilled there and of course went to the ZOO!!This was a favourite outing as we ran around like 5yr olds again feeding elephants, petting koalas, kangaroos and generally looking around the place. Was a definite highlight!
After our exciting trip to the steve irwin zoo we carried on road tripping up to Hervey Bay where we would start our Fraiser Island camping trip. We were put in a group of 11, given a 4x4 and pretty much left to our own devices to explore the island which was awesome! We spent quite a bit of time driving around and getting stuck in the sand, but it was ok because thankfully there were 8 guys in our group and only 3 girls, so they could do all the pushing whilst we stood and cheered them on of course! We swam in some beautiful lakes, saw some amazing views and generally had fun with our group...so all in all a pretty good trip!!
Next it was on to a place called 1770 which was a small town, but we stayed in an awesome hostel in which 'Binky' cooked $5 meals every night! So we coudlnt resist and had a couple of nights off from cooking our own food and tucked into his massive portions (even going back for seconds...followed by $2 pancakes for pudding!!)There wasnt a huge amount to do here...the beach was pretty but the surf was bad so sadly no surfing here :(
So much to say, we will update you in 2 doses! The next one will follow shortly.......love to all xxx
