Not much to report so far today, but perhaps that will change tonight. I wasn't able to fall asleep until 6:00 or so in the morning. I had to come back after going out with the Aussies around 2:00 am or so, but the damn mosquitoes kept biting, and the fireworks kept exploding, and my hair and clothes smelt like a dive bar. So, I hopped in the shower at 4:00 in the morning, and turned on the water as hot as it would go, just short of burning me. I did feel significantly cleaner, and was able to fall asleep around 6:00 in the morning, for a glorious four hours. I opted out of going to the beach, and wasted some time on the computer. I had not taken any photos yet, so I putzed around for a few hours in the streets, and took a few shots of the statues, before they are incinerated tomorrow. No one has let up on the bloody fireworks yet, and I still am anticipating having shrapnel fly through the window. Tonight I think we are going to go see the fireworks and go to an outdoor party...finally.
