Today's the day I go sailing on the whitsundays... One of the 'must-dos' on the east coast where you sail out to different islands, a place called Whitehaven beach, do some snorkelling and then spend the night on a boat. I'd had to make the choice between this and a trip to Fraser island where you basically go driving and camp on an island. I decided to do the whitsundays and was told as long as the weathers good that's definitely the best option. So, of course...

Didn't sleep very well last night because it was so frigging cold... When I woke up I met a guy in my room called Jamie and he said he'd show me round Airlie beach. So we went to check in for my boat trip tomorrow (where the woman undercharged me, Karma's paying up) then we just hung out by the lagoon all day, it's really pretty and chilled out here but there's not that much to do here and doesn't have as friendly a vibe as mission beach so I've decided to leave...

So today I left mission beach to head for Airlie beach :( :( I'm really looking forward to Airlie beach and the whitsundays but I genuinely feel like I made good friends and a little crew at mission beach that I was genuinely sad to leave. Today was another chilled day at mission beach, so we got up, went straight to the beach but the wind had got a lot stronger so we didn't stay long before leaving the beach and going to sit by the pool at the hostel.
