So you may want to re-read my last blog from Bagan where I said I'd had enough of bikes....
Here I am on a bike, sigh!!! As apparently there are some awesome caves here, so we've all hired bikes. Wasn't going to badly at first and then we hit the hills... And I mean hills where some of the time we just got off and walked, then found out we were going the wrong way and turned back round... Although this meant going downhill, weeeee!!!
We eventually got there after what felt like forever; a monk gave us some torches and we went in to what I'm pretty sure wasn't a cave but actually just a bat's ensuite toilet because I have never smelt anything like it!!! And well the caves involved: jess falling and hurting her ankle, a big spider which was cool, a bat flying at everyone and hitting russ in the head and then us leaving so probably not really worth that bike ride... Although, I did know that there was a lot of downhill coming up and going back was actually really good fun :D
Then we went and got lunch, and just hung out until we all (minus Chloe) had to leave to get our bus to Yangon!
We waited at the bus stop and played s***head (I need to buy some cards) and then my bus came so we just said we'd meet at Yangon airport.
On the bus I was next to a local guy who was nice enough but it's really awkward when you don't know someone because you can't spread out so I really didn't sleep much at all.
Part of the way there our tyre split so they had to change that (what did I tell you about the buses breaking) and when we got to the food stop, jess and the guys had actually overtook my bus and were there already. Matthew decided to eat a plate of chillies if the rest of them bought him 9beers which was pretty funny!!
Then there was more bus journey, but I did speak to Catherine and Bev, a mother and daughter from NZ who were really nice.
Boring bus journey as usual .....
