Today we decided to split up so myself and Liam were going to go see more temples in old Bagan, while Yann and Andrea went to Mt. Popa to see some monkeys or something but I didn't fancy catching rabies off a monkey lol.
We'd all run out of local money so me and Liam went to the market to change some dollars into kyat! He was changing $200 as he's staying longer so we ended up walking out a market with 282'000 in 1000 notes filling a carrier bag lol; this place is just surreal, anywhere else you would most likely be robbed walking out that market but no-one here would dream of doing that.
The first temple we got to had people painting in every corner and Liam even got offered a girl lol; they were joking obviously. As we were biking down a main road we had a guy come up along side us trying to sell us gems and then a guy selling paintings, when I told him I already had some he actually used the phrase "oh my Buddha" amazing moment!!! Lol!!!
Then a guy came along side me and just randomly started asking me what I thought of dynamo the magician and did I think he was real, lol, one of the oddest moments of my life... Biking through 10000 year old temples talking about a magician with me on a bike an this guy on a motorbike lol.
Anyway, we asked him where to eat and he recommended a place called "the moon" a vegetarian restaurant. It was in a really nice location and the food was really good with free sweets for dessert, so of course I ate too many and felt sick.
Then we decided to do one last temple before heading back... After biking for twenty minutes following Liam we were now back where we started! You can imagine how impressed I was doing unnecessary exercise and I may have free time but not for biking in a circle lol!
We saw the last temple and again the view really was breathtaking and just so peaceful but after three days I was pretty templed out!!
Myanmar is also pretty famous for having the highest rate of death by snakebite and as we biked back why looked like a piece of green ribbon jut floated out infront of us across the road... Of course it was a snake but luckily it just slid on, it was actually a really gorgeous snake and did move like a piece of ribbon but still I didnt want it near me. We'd also seen a lizard earlier on in the day so was a pretty eventful day.
Rest of the day was spent chilling out, getting food and then going to bed...
I will certainly not be going on a bike any time soon with how my bum feels!!
