Little Ali!
Hi Auntie Ally. Hope your still enjoying you time away, not pining for the Glasgow rainy season, tacky christmas decorations that get shoved up at this time of year and the new series of i'm a celebrity get me out of here! You don't know what your missing!
I am ambling along nicely, in the middle of setting up a branch of 'the Kenyan Orphan Project' in Leeds. We have had loads of interest, 55 people turned up to the 1st meeting, so looks like we will have to turn people away, since we cn only take 28 on the trip! My housemate Carly and friend Dominic are going to be my fellow co-ordinators! Together we will take a group of willing students to Kenya this summer (God help us!)
Still tell you all about it at Christmas (when I will invade for the necessary Christmas shooping in Glasgow!). Lots of love, Ali xxx

Mum & Dad
It was great to hear you on the phone. Dad has had qiite an adventure! The bus driver forgot to stop at Garstang. So dad went to Blackpool. Fortunately he had Margaret Brierly's mobile number. They drove over and rescued him. He had to stay the night and has just rung me from Tebay! We go to Fellgate for a night next weekend. Much love M&D
Margie
Hi Al. Just back from Durham where Mum and I had supper sans Dad who got taken to Blackbpool by the bus instead of getting off at Garstang to see Brian. B..the bus failed to stop so he got to see the Tower (but not the lights as the Brierleys came to the rescue.) John and I had our first night at the new Fellgate, its fab! Odd hitches which will need ironing out but there's time to do that. All the girls + G&G are up this weekend to see it - interesting as we have no chairs in the sitting room yet. I hope the cooker gets connected as planned or the local pub will be doing good business.
hope all is well, let us know the date and time of your return and keep safe
Margie
Ally
Hi everyone thanks for all the messages its great to hear from you all. Just back from the Inca Trail, the rainy season has started! Luckily it usually rained about 4pm after we had finished walking, unfortunately my tent leaked! I bought a plastic poncho before the start which I put over the tent and it worked ace!
The saga of the camera continues, decided to buy a replacement from Amazon and get it shipped to Cusco, checked with DHL that there was time. They assured me it would be here by Friday but forgot to mention that they were closed on Friday, its All Saints Day!
Off to Eater Island today so Lizzy when you are in Cusco would you mind?
Margo Nelson
Hi
Glad to hear you are having a great time. What happened to your camera - heard it went for a swim! I am off to Lochgoilhead tomorrow for the weekend, but the road is closed as there has been a landslide! Will probably have to go by ferry from Gourock to Dunoon. Enjoy the rest of your trip.
Paul Edgar
It's Thursday, wet and windy here in Glasgow. Went to football last night- wife not pleased- and Celtic lost. All in all a bad day.
Then found your site and cheered up. Photos look amazing, descriptions even better. Glad you're enjoying it and looking forward to hearing your tales.
Janet And Millie
Glad you're having a great time - hope you don't find the UK too dull after SA. Millie sends her love, she still has all her little endearing habits. I AM feeding her but she does enjoy rubber ball for desert -seeing reappearing bits of red rubber, having passed through doggy colon, is very interesting. I am timing her digestive system. I thought about using the reults for audit in the department but I don't think Val will wear it.
Let me know when you touch down in Glasgow, as am going to London on 23rd so will make arrangements for Mllie. She is a delight but not a lot of progress on obeying commands. "Sit" is excellent, "Drop"(the ball) is coming on but "come" is needing more treats. Still not keen on more than paddling in the water. At Troon she was very suspcious of the waves.
Love ,Janet and Millie PS - Cat still alive.
