Hello everyone, god i am lame! No blog update for god knows how long. Anyway here its goes. Townsville and Magnetic Island was a interesting place, not many people around though, i would say i saw about 50 backpackers in 2 days! We hired a car because the island is quite big, the car was a piece of rubbish with wheels on it but it got us from A to B.

We saw quite a bit of wildlife though and did a few walks around. I have to say that a koala is the most boring animal in the world. Apparently they sleep for like 80% of every day or something silly like that. The girls found them cute, i just found them boring. Im sorry Sophie but also who in their right mind would pay $20 to cuddle a damn koala? The other animals we spotted were wallabies and kookaburras. We fed the kookaburras at one of the hostel on the island which was something different.

During the evening we went to watch Toad racing which was very enjoyable viewing. The old guy that did the talking was a good laugh. He said that all the toads had travelled along way to be at the race and that they all had names etc (he was a bit mad but it added entertainment to the races). there was also loads of people betting on which toad would win each race. There was about 150 people watching and apparently normally there is way more.
