Hello!

So we are now in Byron Bay after travelling between Cairns and here over the last week-ish...

I have kind of forgotten the order that we did everything but I suppose the main thing was the sky dive at Mission Beach - it was absolutely amazing! The scariest thing ever but well worth it. I have it on DVD so you can all see it when I am back - it's a bit embarrassing!

We went White water rafting down the Tully River which was really good fun - luckily we didn't flip it over but one boat did in a really dodgy area over some rocks so we all had to row like mad to get them out of the water and back in the boats! One of the girls on the tour now has a black eye and bruised back from that so it was quite an eventful day! She is on the mend now though which is good. We stopped half way down the river for a bbq lunch which was nice, and then went on to the end before heading back to where we were staying.

After that we went to Airlie Beach where we took a cruise around the Whitsunday Islands - we went to a beach called Whitehaven Beach and it was really hot so we sunbathed and played games through the afternoon. The beach was something like 95% silicon or something so it was really really white - as you can probably tell from the pictures.

We also then spent two nights on the farm which was so much fun. We milked cows, fed calves, went horse riding, did so much stuff. I had a nice afternoon nap in the hammocks too! The farm was really old style with proper old fires etc with iron kettles. The food was amazing and we even got to have pudding which is such a novelty!

After the farm-stay we went to Scarborough for one night just so we were close to the ferry terminal the next day in Brisbane as we got a ferry to Moreton Island for the night. This is a 100% sand island and is really nice, it's weird because you hae to go everywhere on 4X4s. We climbed to the top of the highest vegetated sand dune in the World which was lovely - the view was awesome, you could see for miles. We then went sandboarding which was so much fun! It was a bit scary though so I only went once and then just sunbathed! We stayed in a really nice place that night it was really nicely decorated and the beds were comfy so that was a nice break from the camping again!

On the second day in Moreton Island we went whale watching and dolphin watching which was really good - and we saw loads! We then went sunbathing for the afternoon as the weather was lovely.

After Moreton Island we went to Byron Bay which is where we are now. It's a really cool town, very laid back and quite a hippy town but it's really really good here - good shops too! We are camping here for three nights, one night left before we go on to Coffs Harbour, Barrington Top and then Sydney!
