I feel like I'm going to be repeating what I wrote down for last weekend down, minus the rain but here we go!
I got up, had breakfast and then sat in the sun reading my book! It's such a nice day. Shame we're not going back to the beach really but I can imagine if we went all day like last week I'd end up in the same burnt situation. I didn't escape the burn altogether though. While reading my book I had my legs in the sun, trying to get rid of the farmers tan around my feet. My legs ended up pretty burnt and very red! Oops again! I don't think I'll ever get used to this sun.
Everyone else was out apart David but he disappeared to the elephants and was doing data all day. The Brazilian girls went to the beach, Joan, Hilary and Michelle went to see the big cats and Laurie and Lisa had to go back to the circus. This time they had to properly observe the elephants. They said it was horrible as all the circus people were constantly staring at them and they couldn't get their research done properly. They spent 5 and a half hour, no breaks, observing the elephants. The owners think they are the most relaxed elephants ever. According to the research their SDBs (Self Directed Behaviours) went haywire when they knew they had to go on...not a relaxed elephant.
Charlotte cooked us all spag bol tonight which was so nice and to eat all together as well. The washing up also took half the time. We then watched a film and went to bed. A very civilised day!
We headed straight into town when we woke up on Sunday. We finally managed to find an Internet Cafe after finding the first one shut. Hardly anything is open on Sunday and everything closes after 2pm. It was a tad weird skyping in a restaurant. We did arrive early though so luckily no one was around for us to annoy with our one way conversations. We hit the beach after we had our internet dose and joined the Brazilian girls. They eventually found us and had rented a nice little umbrella which they kindly shared with us. It definitely wasn't as hot as last week and we managed not to burn at all. I had covered myself in spf 40 though instead of spf 20 last week which might as well have been baby oil.
It's been such a lazy weekend but after a week of constant activity it's nice to do nothing. Sorry about the lack of excitement!
