Liked ur entry, really interesting, would like to have something intelligent to say but in addition to my usual failure to understand world happening I havent seen news or newspapers for months...
On a different note - I saw a turtle the other day. It was really cool and I tried to do a 'swim with the turtles' expedition but after doing a extemely graceful 'rachel dive' into the water it seemed to disapear, weird huh?
Life onboard is full of good food, not so good sleep and a mountainous hike (mums idea) that left my calves screaming at me yesterday!
Sounds like ur having a good time altho it says the temperature is 14 degrees!? Thought u might like to know that the water temp here is 28/29 degrees...

Thanks for your thoughts Peter, I figured you would have something to say! This is a good point you make: 'Personally, I think the war in Iraq is a bit more complicated than "Are you for or against it?" '
Anger is one thing, hate is another. I don't think it's ever justified, and personally I find it really hypocritical when people supposedly in support of peace are being hateful.
That's just my thoughts!

Oops. I wrote more but posted the wrong thing.
I'll put the long-winded version on my blog.

It's cool that you've been able to go to a protest!
I can really feel with people who get angry, because I get angry with my governments too. People here in New Zealand get angry with the new laws, and people in the US get angry with their policies.
Personally, I think the war in Iraq is a bit more complicated than "Are you for or against it?" I think we have to do what's right for the Iraqi people at this point, I think the US owes it to them. Us Americans can't be selfish and just do whatever suits us now that we're ripped apart their country for them.
I could go on quite a bit longer I guess.
I'm opposed to war. Peace is much better. Thank you for doing something about it.

Thanks Peter, but don't worry, it's very unlikely that'd ever happen - I'm Kiwi through and through, and it's always gonna be that way!! But that doesn't mean you're not allowed to claim Kiwi status for yourself too (if you understood that doube negative!).
Katie potatie, your comment in itself was an awesome little testimony to the big God we serve - thanks for that encouragement!

If you're in any danger of losing your kiwi status, then I claim full kiwi status for myself!
I expect you're thoroughly enjoying your time in Yankeedoodleland. It sounds like you are.
Things are going crazy here at the start of the year. It's really busy for me, but it's fun to do lots of good things all at once.

Hilda: Thanks so much for your comment, it's really good to hear from you! Thanks for visiting my site.
How's life in Dunaz? Would love to hear what you've been up to sometime... You musta been back at school for a couple weeks now have you? What did you do for summer holidays?
Sabine: I'm really sorry to hear things didn't work out so well. I hope things are going OK with you now that you're back in Germany?
Well, seeing as you're such a dedicated visitor to my site (couldn't believe how many stoires you remembered!!), you deserve a page devoted to you. :)
I think Rach plans on Europe AND Canada, so hopefully you will be able to meet up. And maybe you can teach her some additional German - slightly more, er, useful German... Not that telling someone that they're fat and ugly isn't useful or anything, but it might just not get her too many friends... Rach, if you're reading this, I love you anyways!! :P
