Hey everyone!

Nothing much to report on yesterday. I visited the Rockhampton Botanic Gardens and Zoo which were cool but didn't really compare to seeing the animals at the wildlife santuary where there's no bars.

Then had a 5 hour bus journey to stop over for the night in Bundaberg-home of the famous Bundy Rum Distillary, unfortunately I didn't get to tour around it coz I had an early bus today but I stayed at the weirdest accommodation. I couldn't get anything at all in the hostels coz its fruit picking season and all the workers are filling the rooms, but eventually was refferred to a tiny hostel who fitted me in. I arrived there with 4 German girls and found it to be a house with beds crammed in every space he had. The guy was so nice-he said the thought of backpackers staying on the streets didn't seem right so he takes them in. Not a luxurious place by any stretch, but it was the most genuine I've stayed in so far-and with a comfy bed.

I've now arrived in rainbow beach which is just south of Hervey bay and is where they run the self drive tours of Fraser Island. The place is really nice and nearly everyone here is going out tommorrow and they look like a good set of people. We're in cars of 11 so hopefully mine will be fun and no dingo's will eat me!
