Sunday we set off our road trip..and it rained nearly all the way..2 months with no rain and it arrives with me..I could get a bit paranoid about this! It was proper, set in for the day, english rain.so our lovely road trip was a bit damp around the edges..lots of very quick photo stops on the way. At Lake Tekapo we saw lots of cairns on the beach and stopped at Cromwell with its giant fruit bowl..we didn't even bother with Mount Cook..thick, low cloud would have meant zero views! By the time we got to Queenstown it had stopped raining but the cloud was hanging very low over the mountains.
