Disneyland today. Considering we were there for just 10 hours we did well. Rides checklist:
Thunder Mountain
Space Mountain
Rocking Rollercoaster (x2)
Pirates of the Caribbean (x2)
Star Wars
Snow White
Peter Pan
Mad Hatters Teacups
Carousel
Toy Story Racecar
Hollywood Tower Hotel
Studio Tram Tour
Perimeter Train
Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse
Rope Bridge
Various Caves and tunnels
Parade
Rocking Rollercoaster is easily the best ride there. Better than Space Mountain because you can see the track and it doesn't hurt! There's one loop on Space Mountain that really strains your neck, but we did get to sit right at the front, which made up for it.
Thunder Mountain and Pirates were disappointingly dry, but still great rides.
The Toy Story Racecar is a half loop track and essentially a giant pirate boat ride. You sit in the car and go backwards up the arc, hang for a bit and then go forwards to the other end of the arc, hang almost upside down for a bit then fall backwards and let gravity do the rest. Really strong G forces. Anna hated it.
The Hollywood Tower is a massive free fall drop ride set in a derelict hotel. You sit in a lift which goes up and down between floors with various mirror effects, before it drops suddenly, then goes right to the top (this is in pitch blackness) then doors at the top of the hotel open to show you how high up you are (very high). Then you drop a couple of floors one by one, before dropping the rest all in one go. In the dark. Anna loved this one.
Back at the hostel now, doing more Parissy things tomorrow like the Catacombs and the Louvre properly.
