Our Brisbane interlude is now drawing to a close and we are all going our separate ways After we arrived back home to camp in our own backyard, we had a weekend trip to Melbourne to see Alf's family, then a week's stay with my sister while the van was being serviced and then a lovely time at the beachside unit in Caloundra. During this time, we had some joyous arrivals home - first was Ben, arriving from Brazil after more than 2 years away, then Andrew, who had been on a mission trip to the Philippines and finally Michael on holiday from the army! It's great to see them maturing and growing more independent.
We had our own traditional family Christmas Eve dinner at Caloundra and then drove to Brisbane for church and a lovely casual day with the extended family. Since the new year we've been spending time with the boys and family & friends as well as de-cluttering the van and preparing it for another few months of travel. The weather in Brisbane has been very wet most of the time, as well as very hot and humid - good for the garden and filling the tanks on our property, but not much fun for outdoor activities.
Currently, our plan is to head south inland to South Australia and then on to Perth via the Eyre Peninsular, Nullarbor Plain and south-western WA. However, our plans are flexible, so who knows where we may end up??
