Wow is the only way I can describe this evening, wow wow wow. We started out in San Marino and after we bought some stuff we headed off to Venice. San Marino was great brilliant but they were setting up for the motogp race that weekend so it was very busy. We are staying on the outside of the main part of Venice so we had a a few hours at the hotel to get changed and ready to go out that evening in the main city. We, like everyone, had to go by boat to get there and after we got out of the lagoon we entered the major canal and the churches started to pile up. So many in such a small area was remarkable. When we got off the boat we headed for dinner and we could see why our guide was so insistent we stay together, the street are like mazes ad are so narrow you hardly have to reach your arms out and your blocking the whole lane way. The buildings are also quite high which makes it all very disorienting. The only clue is to look for the signs to point you to St Marks Square. We had another delicious Italian dinner (STEAK!) and we set out wandering to see some sights. Our first stop was the Rialto Bridge, where it is said if you kiss on it you will have eternal romance, so of course we kissed on it. Our next and last stop was St Marks Square. That place with the basilica and Doges Palace around it at night gave a magical quality. I'm not afraid to admit it, but when I entered the square the past few weeks caught up with me and I had a smile from ear to ear and a few tears in my eyes, I don't think I've given Sally as big a hug since out wedding day. I was in heaven. It will be interesting to see how it looks tomorrow in the sunlight, my bet is it won't be as pretty. Also I have to convince Sally to go for a gondola ride tomorrow (I know!) and get a few souvenirs. I know sal wants some glass so it will be fun looking for that. Another day in paradise for us, I wonder what the poor people are doing?

Cornelius C. Snapdragon Well I'm laying on a massive mountain of chocolate mouse and a scantily clad male model is feeding me nutella covered strawberries*. I also wonder what the poor people are doing. *May or may not be factual. Glad you're having such a great time, and just so you know, rumours are running rife that Sally is with child... Care to elaborate? Love and Paddlepops to you all Xx
