Hey everyone, this is my first post from Ecuador! I got up at 2:30 this morning (English time) and I arrived at about 23:00 so it has been a long day of travelling. The plane ride was fine, mainly involved eating and reading. We flew over the Carribean Sea, Venezuela and Colombia. Colombia was really beautiful to fly over although absolutely desolate, there wasn´t a settlement in sight, just black mountains. I arrived in Quito to find, to my pleasant surprise, a 16 year old girl picking me up in her car...needless to say I was slightly concerned but it turned out well. I am now in a hostel somewhere in Quito which seems to be an indefinate resting place as they were rather lax with regards to telling me their plans, oh well, I will just have to sit tight. I have nothing on my person except 60 dollars and a knife, the rest is locked away.. I hope!! It is quarter to seven out here at night right now and still very light, there are lots of rain clouds though. I don´t really know what to do with myself, might try and find something to eat. Hopefully I will be heading down to Macas soon but who knows what the future holds. I need to go to the police to extend my visa as my current one only carries me until may 23rd. Anyway, enough for now. Missing everyone already. xxxx
