Change of plans due to forgetting the time difference on the east coast. Me and Lyn are lying/sleeping in centennial Olympic park on wind down Wednesday listening to live musing in the evening sun. I missed my 3:15 bus so have to wait till 9 to get he new one meaning that I won't see Gaby the Great (lacrosse too) until 5am. She is super amazing because she said she will pick me up!!! When we realised I would miss my bus (we got up at 6 am which we thought was plenty early) we decided to take it slow and had a leisurely day trying to knock off my hangover. We finished the book we have been reading. A very anti climactic ending but we have sure enjoyed reading out loud to each other putting on different voices and gasping and exclaiming at all the best points. It was a great way to pass the time through deserts etc.
Suddenly after a taco stop I was talking in an American accent and neither of us really remember why; but we are both impressed and I have been enjoying it since. The voice's name is Glen. The hardest part is replacing proper English words with American knock-offs. Licence plate instead of number plate and that kinda thing.
So back to the hangover from New Orleans... Partly/mostly due to meeting up with Ben (OTC) at about midnight there were a lot of drinks in the last couple of hours before heading home.
Before this we were in a male strip club (rainbow rooms if you're interested) though a combination of "don't knock it till you've tried it" and "try anything once" and Lyn insisting. We had great fun:
-Lyn tried her hand at posting dollars in pants and is a natural
-We admired the skill and shear strength in holding their own weight on a pole and spinning
-I ended up coaching the new guy since naturally I ended up in conversation with him, this would not be a bad profession
-We chatted with the bar man who turned out to be the manager, but on further investigation turns out to be ASSISTANT manager (Sorry René) and it turned out me and him were the only at guys in a rainbow flying bar. There was a huge variety of people in there and I feel like I learnt a lot.
Before THIS I started a walking ghost/vampire tour wasn't impressed so took the fact that I learned and went to find Lyn at the jazz bar where she had made fiends at a table. We watched the 3-part and adored the lady on keyboard who was cute as a button as she played and smiled. She was also FABTASTIC! Before that we got dressed and left the hostel and before that was another blog .
