Gaby has the most novel method of putting on her seatbelt... First the whole thing comes over her head, then she plugs it in before ducking under the strap which is now behind her and is finally ready to drive. It comes so naturally and se doesn't even notice but I crack up each time!
We drove back from Gaby's parents's place successfully with fun stops at each toll where I practiced my long shots. Some great chat happened and we fell asleep after a lonnnng weekend!
Today was Universal Island of Adventures day and I met 2 new people who went to Lancaster, one a long time ago and one who Gaby met there. Crazy times. Kara drove us and between her and Gaby I had the best theme park experience ever! Kara's little (like a fresher) got us in on the Harry Potter ride like vips. They have done a great job of covering the first 4 books in one ride in a deceptively small space. There are 2 dragon themed rides next door which seem like they are racing each other. Butterbeer is as good as people say; though thinking about it... Is it a good idea to be basing the appearance of soft drinks on a pint of beer? Either way the froth tastes really good!
Jurassic park was cool. We nearly got eaten by a T Rex. But managed to escape down a log flume. The water rides in America are brilliant; since people won't get pneumonia they can soak you like a sponge.
In superhero land there was the Spider-Man and hulk rides which were both a bit different and awesome!
Then there was the cat in the hat ride in Suessicial Land. Loved for different reasons. One being that all the instructions and waiting time extensions rhymed!
On the way out we picked up Cinnabons and an iced Cinnabon coffee. They were not finished and had to be brought home. DANG!
One might think this was an excellent day, but it was only about to get better as the three of us played the flimsiest game of Kings Cup (Ring of Fire) followed by a game I have been meaning to try for a whilllle. It turned out to be a fantastic accompaniment to packing my bag...
The Rules Game
1) Everyone secretly makes a rule that if broken requires the breaker to drink. Examples include:
Being sassy
Saying a name
Standing up/sitting down
Touching your hair
Drinking with the wrong hand
2) When a player notices their rule is broken they alert said player (within an appropriate length of time, say 30s) who must then drink.
3) Continue with previous activities.
4) If a player thinks they have sussed a rule they may guess, the consequence of a wrong guess may be decided before the game such as, lets say, to drink.
5) When all players rules have been recognised repeat step 1.
6) Play now continues but with both sets of rules in play.
7) Repeat to fade.
