Nha Trang is awesome.
We arrived at around 6am and wondered around for a short while looking for a hostel that met our standards and our budget. Finding a decent place, located centrally and with a sea view only metres from Municipal beach we dumped our stuff. Steph caught up on some sleep while I read up on what lies in store in Nha Trang.
Meeting up with our chums who went on to Nha Trang a few days before us we went out for some food then hit the beach. The beach was superb and the sea was warm, life is good!! We had planned on doing a boat trip but the tour operators said that a storm was on its way so none of the boats were going out... The storm never came but we enjoyed a nice relaxing day on the beach. I was man-handled by a large vietnamese woman on the beach after asking for a full body massage. I felt battered and bruised afterwards but surprisingly relaxed.
That night we sampled the delights of the Nha Trang nightlife and hit 'Why Not Bar' and 'The Sailing Club' - both good fun.
The next day we decided to get the cable car over the sea to the nearby island of Vin Pearl - what a day!!!! This place was incredible. After initially being a bit hesitant to hand over 300,000 dong each, not really knowing what to expect, we boarded the cable car and made our way over (getting some great views of Nha Trang on the way)
The island had a waterpark so we headed there first. It had some of the greatest water slides, a lazy river and an awesome private beach. After the waterpark we went to the Aquarium, which again was really good with some cool fish, sharks, turtles etc. Before heading back to Nha Trang we noticed there was a theme park so popped in there and didnt come out until it was dark because it was so much fun. All of this was included in the price - the waterpark, aquarium, theme park, amusements!!! We went on the roller coasters, pirate ship, bumper cars, rodeo and then headed inside to a world of amusements... all free. We felt like kids again wanting to play on anything and everything all at once. It also had a 4D cinema that we didn't get round to going to. It had everything.
That evening we relaxed and got some much needed sleep before catching our bus to Mui Ne at 7:30 the following morning. Time for a bit of 'us' time and relax... sounds a lot better than work!!!! huh?
