Although I'm fairly impressed myself about uploading new albums weekly, I haven't been too clever with the writing... I guess I spend enough time writing all day in the office (or attempting to write...), so it's hard to get motivated. Right now it's Sunday evening. I've got a cup of half-full, semi-cold coffee, candles, and a wet view of Quito… drowning in massive raindrops. I just can't get over how fast the weather changes in this city. Earlier today I was flat-out on my sunny rooftop, and now I could probably go for a swim in the backyard.
It's been a relatively relaxing weekend. After a half-hearted salsa-lesson on Friday, I was out with two new friends who I quickly decided to love (after one of them bought a bottle of champagne from a dodgy corner-shop, which gave a feeling of being back in London civilisation).
Saturday was an absolutely stunning day horseback riding in the Pululahua, which is an active volcano crater! Today my poor bum is telling me it's been a while since last time I sat in a saddle for over 5 hours, but it was totally worth it.
By the end of this weekend I've been here for one month, half of my total stay. Although it's gone by like the blink of a second, I have a feeling the following month will pass even quicker! I've got so much to do and see, and absolutely no chance to squeeze it all into my schedule. Still, the Galapagos is a total "must" which will not have the bend for anything else. I'm soooo much looking forward to it!
I hope you're all good, wherever in the world you may be! Thanks for all your messages and emails…
