This was such an interesting day!
We began it with a 2-hour canal cruise of Amsterdam (if you look at the photos, you might get overwhelmed at the number of building pictures we took - but they were all so gorgeous, it was hard to resist). This was a great overview of the city - relaxing and informative. Our guide was very funny, extremely dry humor, which made the ride even more fun!
Then we had a bus tour of the city - and we got to see Anne Frank's famous attic, shivering awful feelings here) as well as the red light district (yowza!).
We finally left the tour group and meandered through the city on our own - even made it back to our ship without a map! We popped into a McDonald's (of course) and had coffee in a cafe (NOT a coffee shop because, well, they sell something other than coffee in those).
This was our last evening on board the ship and they had a lovely champagne toast-off for us. We exchanged emails with a few of the folks we now call friends. And, after a delicious dinner, retired to our room to pack up to disembark in the morning.
