Tropical thunderstorms...

That's what we are having at the moment! We drove up to Townsville the other day and decided to go to Magnetic Island for a few days. Magnetic Island is said to have over 320 days of sunshine per year! Riiight, well we saw a few hours of sun yesterday and lots and lots of rain... And today thunderstorms and puoring rain - no sight of the sun! We came here at a good time didn't we?!

Lovely beaches, pretty rainforest areas, amazing reefs here though! Well worth a visit, even though it's raining! We are staying int really cute and cosy wooden huts surronded by lots and lots of rainforest and noisy big and colorful parrots!

We got interviewed the other day for the local newspaper - the Townsville Bulletin! The 26th of January it is Australia day, so we were asked how we would describe the typical Australian... So now we will be appearing in the newspaper on Saturday - eli kohta ollaan local celebrities, hehe...!

By the way, we bought ourselves flight tickets to Tonga for the end of February! Leaving from Auckland the 26th of February and back on the 6th of March! It was a real bargain - 100 euros menopaluu Auckland-Tonga - NOT BAD!
