Day 18 - Goodbye Turkey, Hello Dubai
We had a farewell breakfast, Jayne headed to the airport and Ooti and I did a bit of shopping in Taksim square. As Ooti and I got back to the hotel to check out Jayne sent me a message saying she has been with the police and won't be boarding the flight. In Cappadocia her passport got ruined as a water bottle in her bag leaked and the photo page fell out of her passport. We had assumed that the passport was ok as she managed to do the flight from Cappadocia to Istanbul on it and we didn't think about it again. Anyway I don't know the details of how she got her emergency passport - but she definitely has more of a story to tell. Meanwhile we had left really early for the airport and by the time we checked in and went through security etc we had about 5 mins before we boarded our flight. We also came across a bit of a clinger. We met this old man in the check in line who invented a satellite and was in Turkey to give a conference - and everywhere we went we saw him. When we landed in Dubai he shook/high fived Ooti's hand. The baggage took about an hour to come out so by the time we got to the hotel it was around midnight. So excited tomorrow we are going on a desert safari!
