The Islands! It wasn't a smooth ride - another 14 hours on a bus, this time overnight with less than comfortable seats! On the ferry to Koh Samui there wasn't a word spoke to each other, afraid of saying the wrong thing to the wrong person (Stephen got NO sleep so we were really just afraid of him)! After being completely ripped off by the taxi man we found a cheap hotel, 200 yards away from the beach so we were happy as larry! We had a great few days mucking about on the beach and having a few beers at night! The beach was picture perfect but it was time to move on for the "Real Party"!

Koh Phan Ngan! I hated it (Well hate is a strong word)! I just didn't see the attraction - obviously nothing to do with the fact that i got 1000 Oz dollars stole from our locked room! No but after the saga of the money being stolen i was in no mood for a party! I still couldnt bring myself to miss th e Full Moon Party though, even through my tears! I am so glad i went even just to witness it. It was mental, people everywhere not having a care in the world. We couldn't get over the fact that we were sharing a beach with about 8000 people for one big party! The next day was spent between the police station to get a statement and trying to organise our route out of Koh Pha Ngan!

Phi Phi It was and what a great decision! We spent 5 days lounging around the beaches, walking hills (not my choice but the views were worth it), snorkelling, watching Thai boxing and just generally having a good old time of it! Apart from Stephens near death experience which involved a lot of panicking and a big intake of salt water we had a great week!
