day twenny for
Breakfast was included in this hotel, so more bread and jam #sweet, there was a lovely little man who asks you if he can cook you some eggs but I'm not that into eating chicken ovums so I passed.
Went for the free walking tour at 10.30, if I'm honest it wasn't very good, I'm not sure if it was because I was tired or the guide wasn't great, but I zoned out for a lot of it, I think also he was only telling me things I already knew. The day before Mabel had shown us how most buildings in Cusco still have Inca foundations because they're earthquake resistant, and how the statue in the middle of Plaza del Armas was of the fourth Inca, but I did learn some stuff. For example; Inca was the name given to the 'royal family' or the leaders, whereas the people were actually just Quechua people, like how we say Elizabethans after Lizzy Uno.
Whilst we were sitting on the steps listening to out your guide list all the bloody churches in Cusco, this actually gang of dogs started circling us and barking loudly. Personally I thought it was hilarious that these dogs had teamed up and formed a club, but my friend Mo shifter into the centre of the circle, clearly terrified (which made it even more funny) eventually a policewoman yelled at the dogs and they skulked away.
A highlight of the tour was an alpaca and llama farm, where we got to see the camelids being fed (and even feed them ourselves) although there was so much food on the ground that the alpacas didn't give a hoot about all the tourists trying to take photos with them.
We ditched the tour halfway and got a taxi up to Sacsayhuaman, which are some Inca ruins, unfortunately they tried to charge us 70 soles to get in and walk around (didn't even include a tour guide) and I was having none of that, so we just walked around the outside and took pictures. There's also a huge white Jesus statue called 'Cristo Blanco' surprise surprise, which is like a mini Christ the redeemer. We couldn't find a taxi to get down, so instead we walked down the huge mountain, which my knees were not thanking me for, after that I just slept until dinner, then played a few games of s***head, then packed for the trek
