Prebooked a taxi to the train station pleasant and much less stressful journey. Hopped on the train with next stop being Bangkok. Train was simple but had everything. For your basic needs..
Some comfy chairs and luggage storage with pull out bunk beds over head. Toilet was interesting..it looks like a toilet but it was a just a hole that everything went onto the tracks.
Quick hop off the train to thai immigration..he struggled to find a clean page for the stamp!
20 hours was a hell on a long journey but all managed to get a good kip ready for Bangkok!
Taxi to the Lebua state tower..

Got upgraded to a suite..absolutely incredible panoramic views on Bangkok 4 balconies!! Was terrible checking in we didn't want to spoil the big surprise.
The time came Alex informed us they'd landed..me and hazel went to collect them all. As the video shows when dj turned up mart nearly had a heart attack!
First night in Bangkok was hilarious. Started off civilised we went up to the sky bar to have some reunion drinks. Highest open air bar in the world got there in time to see it turn dark. Hazel an mart then left us to it and we went out to the koh San road..mental! Met woody (Alex's friend from school) who has a thai girlfriend so he showed us round. Went to some interesting places that can only be referred to as strip clubs I'd imagine? I will spare the details but I turned around at one point and Alex was naked being pretty much raped by 2 women!! We had a tuk tuk race and ended up in nana plaza. Apparently we went to a club but I don't recall this!
Didn't get in until 6am..we all passed out when we woke I found a note from Alex saying couldn't sleep gone to bar!
Had a day on the river taxis shopping down the koh San road unsuccessful about finding a pin.
We went to the pat pong region that night. Few bottles of Sam song later Alex couldn't walk so we carried him back.
Up at 5:30am to go to the floating markets. Got absolutely stung by the taxi man but the markets themselves we're great!
Complained to the hotel about the taxi man and got vouchers for free drinks in the sky bar again!
Phuket tomorrow for more reunions
