Well we made it, and prety much without too much of a hick up! Yesterday was a stupidly long day. up at 7am, no idea what time we finally got to sleep but we think it was the equivalent of 4am on the time zone we woke up in! Arrived at 10pm thai time, found a taxi, spent ages going up and down the same roads, even with a map and directions we had no idea where we were going, the driver had prety much less an idea than we did, his friend was of no use either, we swapped taxi's and finally got to where we were suppposed to be going almost 2 hrs later! totally shattered, glad we finally found it, and glad we had agreed the price before we left! the driver wasn't particularly happy about the price, partly coz it wasn't him that had agreed it! but we walked away happy to have a bed and happy we hadn't been ripped off!

So after a very long sleep we got up, had a lovely breakfast at lunchtime, then stalled time for a bit before we could pluck up the courage to leave the safety of the hostel! We were a little bit petrified at the idea of going out into the big wide world of bangkok without a clue but we survived long enough to make it back so feel alot better about it now!

We got the Sky train into siam, wondered around the safety of the air conditionded shopping centre, then decided we were brave enough to get a tuk-tuk to the tat office. well that was an expeience in itself! we enjoyed it and didn't fall out! the TAT (tourist info) looked legit but was in the middle of nowhere so yet to be convinced we want to hand over all our money, will do a bit of investigating further as to which is the best way to spend our 4 weeks.

For now we have settled with another 2 days in the lovely hostel in On-nut that James and Clare stayed at and booked for us. lovely place very friendly so we will see the rest of Bangkok from here! Might go to a snake farm in the morning! looks like could be fun! As for now, dinner, beer and an early nite!
