Hey hey!

So it took me a very long 11 hours to get to airlie beach from cairns on the greyhound bus. But eventually arrived at 9pm and got to my room 14.

Following day i went down to reception to get all the info about my new job. Once that was out the way i went down to the lagune and chilled for while. Following day i started work at 6am with Richard.

Richard lovely guy travelling with his wife donna. took me out on the bus run to get use to driving the bus. It was actually easier than i thought. I did look ridiculous tho. I was driving a big purple van with beaches written accross it and i was wearing a bright green t-shirt (my beautiful uniform) anyway that day went really well met most of the staff whom are awesome and moved into staff accommodation that day.

I was in the bus drivers room which consisted of me, Nick, girl from luton brilliant laugh big personality and lots of laughs, donna and rich

Work that week was awesome loved working in reception. Driving the bus was ok not the best part of the job but hey got my driving skills down to a t or so i thought.....

One morning i woke up to do the 6am bus run....

Anyway there was a shopping trolley attached to the back of the bus - with a chain....so detached the trolley and got into the bus to find the big massive huge rubbish bin infront of the bus... ok this thing weighs a tonne..... Seriously you should have about 3 people to move it... However as it was 6am know one was about so i had to move it myself.... And i sortof managed but never moved it far enough away and it was sitting on a bit of a slant and when i reversed the bin moved and i reversed and scratched the bus sooooooo. Once my manager Will knew about it he had to fire me:( The owners were up that wk so if he didnt fire me he would have got in the s***. So Yeah lost my job. Was absolutly gutted.. However they kept me on for the rest of the week and my boss helped me get a job at his girlfriend Noora's work in a little cafe called Cappa's.  So at present i am working there. And i actually really like it... Really good laugh and staff are ace.

Have met some awesome people here.  Quite a lot of Aussie mates now.. for a change. Most of the people i have met previously have been From the Uk.

Niamh and Dolly 2 girls from ireland whom work in the bar are seriously the 2 craziest girls i have ever met. Brilliant laugh.....They are soooo Bold!!!! (girls you know what im talking about)

Wazza and Kaz- Boyfriend and girlfriend from Melbourne now living in Airlie beach. Great couple brilliant banter. Wazza is my pool Champ and i ALWAYS beat him at pool - Yeah right.......

Ricky and Mick couple from sydney again lovely guys.... Played poker at their house one night and her Nan actually bet me at poker........ NO WAY!!!

Anyway I love Airlie Brilliant place.  Gate way to the whitsundays.. Main road is Shute Harbour Road. Has everything you need in one street. Good few bars including Beaches (where i am staying)prob best bar in Airlie. Then paddy's Irish bar(if you hadnt of guessed) Brilliant place with live band everynight Juice, Morocco's and Mamma Africa's.  This place really is party central- To be fair my living room is the beaches bar so that is the reason i am in there every night nothing to do with the fact im an alcoholic (ha ha Joking, seriously) But ive had awesome nights out here. So many stories to tell - Including ME ending up at a girls house that works for beaches with my mates wazza, azza, and Tim. We were all hammered and ended up on a bike (this bike was really old fashioned it had reflectors and streamers) but we were all riding it around this girls flat....was hilarious -i even have pictures to prove it...... But yeah the nights out here are all a bit mental and there is always a story to tell...

But yeah thats really it just enjoying myself and trying to save money... Heading to Maggie island next with Nic then poss to cairns and down to Melbourne where we are going to rent a wicked camper van and do great ocean road and then work our way up to perth.... Where i will be starting work again:(

So thats me all up to date finally.... Will check in here again when i move on up the coast in the next few wks....
