Hey guys!!!

Well Im so behind on my journal again!! been hard to keep it updated lately - feel like i havnt stopped!!

Ok so arrived in Airlie Beach on the 2nd of march at 0900 - after an extremely long overnight bus..... Got pick up by beaches hostel where i was staying before i headed to sail the whit sundays.
So once i arrived i checked into my room and met 2 sweedish girls monika and Alex, and a girl from holland called Judith. 3 of us were heading on the sailing trip the next day however judith hadnt booked anything - so last minute me and her went down to reception and managed to get her on the same boat as me. "The Freight Train". Once we were all checked in with Oz adventure sailing we decided to head out for a couple of drinks. However early night as up really early for boat trip. SOoooo exciting..

Following day me and judith were rushing about like mad - i had booked into another hostel for once i got back from my trip as i had a free nights accommodation with Magnums - so i needed to go and store my huge, massive, gigantic backpack with them for the next 3 days.. So all i took with me was the smallest rucksack i had - The goon ended up taking up the most amount of room.......Dont think it was even worth it - apparently its made from fish/eggs etc...no sign of grapes.. hmm worrying why i still continue to drink it... oh yeah its like $15 for 4L -woohoo!! its like being a student out here but with less money...
Anyway we managed to get down to the marina in time- had some paperwork to fill in then James (aka Orlando blume) our host escorted us to our home for the next 3 days.
FREIGHT TRAIN- This boat was awesome. wasnt that big but had 22 beds down stairs for guests and 4 beds for staff, 2 toilets/shower (heads), kitchen and the deck....
It did actually feel like luxury.
we were introduced to our skipper - Jeff 35 year old guy - funny as anything -shall we just say kept us all entertained with his very rude jokes!!

And James - Our host - really did look like Orlando Blume - amazing to watch ha ha!!!
So we all got on board had a little run down about the boat then sailed off into the coral sea....

Again there were a mix of people from different countries. and only 2 of us from the UK.

So we all settled on the boat and began sunning ourselves(or should i say burning ourselves)...
However we Sailed to Whithaven beach - second biggest beach in the world... It was beautiful So we spent some time there chilling out and we even got a chance to get into our stinger suits aka our sexy suits as we wernt alowed into the water this time of year without them. A couple of hours there then we headed back to the boat to be picked up for dinner....

Our host James was also our chef - bloody good job he made of it 2! Once dinner was out of the way we headed up on deck to get drunk on our many ltrs of Red and white goon mmmmmmm. (yeah this really wasnt a good idea on a boat - motion sickness/hangover sickness..... not a very good mix at all. 

Following day i woke up feeling like i had been punched several times in the face.... Went to look in the mirror and my eyes were swollen, my face under my nose was all blistered.....this really wasnt a good look - especially when we had an orlando blume look a like on the boat with us...... ha ha. major disappointment... So anyway i burnt my face bad....
Anyway we went sorkelling in the reef in the coral sea it was beautiful i swear i had such a laugh - me and kristen had our underwater camera'a it was something else fish were actually attaching themselves to us (apparently this is normal) but i did absolutly s*** myself when i seen this yellow thing flapping off my head!! i also nearly chocked as i forgot i could only go under the water slightly with snorkel gear and as i was laughing so much i ended up inhaling about a ltr of sea water mmmmm tasty......that evening we spent getting pretty drunk again.  Me and kristen could not get to sleep for hours as we were laughing so much with the mental picture of us both in our sexy suits, life ring, armbands, snorkel gear and flippers.... Thank god this was only a mental picture......

Following day was spent at a different reef.... chilling out and snorkelling then we headed back to the marina to dock the boat....

It really is hard to explain how beautiful it was out the whit sundays. Its definatly a trip i will never forget. and def something i would tell everyone to do when they come out here..

That evening we all met up and had a few toooo many drinks....good end to a fantastic 3 days sailing.xxx
