Seventh stop... Savannah! Maybe a random choice for some but one of our friends (Danny) is at Uni there! We had a relaxing few days here where it was nice to spend some time in the same place rather than just the one or two nights we had previously been doing! The second we got there we went for a meal at a Chinese buffet, with Danny and his parents, who had come over for his graduation on Saturday. The next day we decided to have a look around the nearest mall, then watch Danny play tennis for a bit and just relax, nice meal that evening at Hirano's ($5 for a huge meal!). We then met up with Danny, Martin, Caroline and Alex (Danny's girlfriend) at a pool house and spent the remainder of the evening playing pool, having a few drinks, a really fun night! In the morning we decided to take a trip into savannah to see what was there...it took an hour on the bus which we weren't quite expecting! Savannah is a cute town, with some amazing buildings and trees with Spanish moss, dangling from every branch, giving the town a really old feeling. We wondered through to river street where there were lots of little tourist shops, restaurants, crab shacks, handmade sweet and clothing shops. It was really windy so we were diving in and out of each shop! Once we'd finished looking in the shops we went for food at one of the traditional pubs along the riverside. On the way back to Danny's we stopped at olgethorpe mall, a big shopping mall, where I bought a $4 pair of pumps which I could wear to Danny's graduation the next day. Tonight we decided to eat in, upload some photos and sort the next few steps of our journey out. In the morning we all got ready for Danny's graduation. It was at savannah city hall, and was a huge event with the entire place full. We all cheered loudly as they read out Danny's name and then went for lunch after to celebrate. We all needed a nap when we got back, in preparation for what was to be a fun night out. Predrinks with the tennis boys involved learning a new game- bing bang boom. After we'd drunk the new drinks we'd picked up called mikes hard lemonade- in four flavours. We got a crazy taxi into town to the two main bars in savannah, we alternated between the two drinking what I thought at the time were jäger bombs, turns out they were Vegas bombs! We had a great night, dancing and laughing celebrating Danny's graduation. Harry and Danny finished the night smoking their cigars, we stopped on the way back to get Taco Bell. Pretty sure we enjoyed it, then got into our deluxe bed and went to sleep. We all got up pretty late this morning, Danny went to savannah town with his parents for the day as it was their last day together for a while. Harry and I chilled, trying to plan the next parts of our travels. We caught the bus at 4pm to meet them at a traditional English pub at 5.30pm for Sunday roast (although harry had fish and chips!). It was really nice to have some veg and a proper meal. At the meal i noticed my leg had swollen up, which i assumed had come from an insect bite. We went for a drink with his family then to a pharmacy who told me I needed to go to the doctors. We went back to Danny's packed then woke up at 8am to get to the medical centre for when it opened. Luckily I was seen within 3 hours, had a check up and an injection then we were ready to leave. We got the bus back to the greyhound station, hopped on that bus and we were on our way, ready to see Gabby, Sonja, Nick and Domi in Orlando!
