Cold would be an understatement for last night. We had to share a single bed as no doubles in the hotel but we pretty much froze.
Once we had both warmed up with a hot shower each we quickly had breakfast and set off into the markets. The alpaca clothes were sold on every stool and not wanting to get cold again we have both bought a jumper.
A slight pain in the backside was that our hostel had no room but there was one just as good a two minute walk which had double rooms so not as squashed into a single bed either.
As expected we have both been effected by being up at such a high altitude and our bodies are still getting used to it so needed a couple of hours to crash in the afternoon.
That has set us up for the evening though. At 7 we went and picked up our laundry we dropped off in the morning which made us very excited at having options of what to wear again. Then we went for dinner at a steak house as the fresh meat from before had been good. None of the meals before even came close to matching up to the meal today. We choose to order two meals and share them, going for the Jack Daniels steak and chicken skewers. We thought the chicken skewers looked really good and then bought out the steak in the frying pan. Adding Jack Daniels from the bottle it out the pan up with fire blazing high out of the pan making everyone else in the restaurant jealous of what we had ordered. When I came to eating combined with the fries, mash and the salad bar the meat and whole meal was unbelievably good. The steak from Manaus had been hit out the park in competition and even better than the chicken from the Amazon. To top it off we were given a shot of Jack Daniels (video of Abigail doing the shot later) and the bill which was so cheap. All in all the meal was to die for if you hadn't figured!
