Divine Interventions

you left my reality and entered my dreams,
you shut out my yells but heard my silent screams.
at times i just stop and cant help but stare,
at something familiar wishing you were here.
i find old memories, old connections to you,
letting them go seems impossible to do.
ive been left with a need that no one can fill,
lacking strength and a sense of will.
just know theres times when you are the key,
to picking me back up putting me where i should be.
not knowing where you've gone is hard to comprehend,
my torn foundation left impossible to mend.
each night a small thought floats out of my mind,
into the subconscious hoping its you that it can find.
