Hey everybody! I met a few people a week or so ago who were avid sailors (non military type *wink*) and they invited me to go with them. It has been about 10 years since I have really been sailing. I did a 10 day sail around the Bahama's... good times! A lot fades in 10 years, but after about an hour I was comfortable again. We were out for 5 hours and it was beautiful! Of course, clumsy as I am I fell a few times, ran around barefoot and stubbed my toes a hundred times. I have a few pretty purple and green bruises to show for it but absolutely worth it (the one on the BOTTOM of my foot really isn't pleasant)!

If you look at the pictures, Brad is in the Navy, Selinca is his wife, and Bill is the one with long hair. He's a contractor for computer stuff. Selinca is very quiet, but the boys are hilarious. Brad is all about trying to do different things even though we really didnt know what we were doing. The boat we were in is the kind they race in Regatas so it has a special extra large sail that I'm sure everyone has seen in pictures. The big sail is always bright colors and the other sails are white. We didnt really know how to set that sail up, but we tried. Brad and I got beat up by the other sails and ropes in the process and finally gave up after Brad almost fell overboard. That's ok, it gives us a reason to go back out in 2 weeks with a guy who actually races the Regatas and he will teach us. YEAH! There was a lot of experimenting... some was successful and some not so much.

Then to start my Monday off, I walked out to my car to go to work and my car wasn't there!! I had to call the MA (Navy cop) on base and tell him my car was gone. It took a little bit but found out my car had been towed. The best part is when we went to get it the cops couldn't give me a straight reason why it had been towed. They gave me 3 different stories. It was blocking a crosswalk (no), it was parked on the sidewalk (no), and it was in the road blocking traffic (no). To make it even better they said that it had been parked there for 3 straight days. Thats not possible since I drove my car to work on Thurs and Friday. ARRRGGGG Oh well at least I got my car back right? :D
