hello my good friends
So things are happening over here in texas. I've met some really lovely people and done some fun things.
as you will see in my new photo album, we took a ride out to Independence, TX (adam and I). It's an old ghost town with a bunch of empty houses and buildings from the early 1800's. there's a preservation society there trying to keep all the buildings standing, and putting up little educational plaques around the town (none of which i read.. i was just interested in the sights haha). It's a really beautiful area.
I still want to see the desert. that'll be our next roadtrip.
I'm currently living in a house with three pit-bulls. One of them, Leolo, is an old man with a few teeth left, and no propensity to bark anymore than to run. The other two are young and have a lot of energy. They were rescued from an abusive home, so they're too afraid to build much of a bond with yet- but they're cute to look at.
I've been eating a lot of tacos and burritos, and drinking a lot of unsweetened iced tea (which is one thing i always miss about the u.s.). There are a billion vintage clothing shops in this city. I already bought a beautiful pair of open-toe, red leather italian shoes that are unbelievably comfortable for 30$ "what?!" you say? yes. it's true.
enough of my thrilling shoe adventures!
I'll be in touch again soon.
