So we left Seattle at 5am, arriving at the airport close to 6am. The flight to dallas was at 7.30am so we just hung around in the departure lounge. When on the flight we got told we had to pay for food and if you wanted to watch TV there was a fee. This was annoying because what had we paid the money for!!! We didnt eat or watch tv, we'd rather wait for something cheaper and nice. We arrived into Dallas at 1.30pm, waited for ages for bags then got a bus to the hostel, this taken over an hour, when the advertisement for the place said its only a 10 minute journey!!!
When we got to the hostel we were shocked at how deserted the place is, adam said 'get ready for the tumbleweed'. we went looking for food and literally all there was, was peanut butter, bread and noodles!
We met two lads from Essex so got chatting to them, we went into Dallas itself on Sunday. It was deserted and there really is nothing to do. James and Ryan showed us what they'd seen the day before and explained how there is nothing, so we went for food at TJI Fridays, i thought i was gonna be sick after my food, it was horrible, Adam had a steak which i advised could be his birthday meal. Have u seen the dollar to the pound its worse $1.37 to the pound!!!!!!
We saw where JF Kennedy was shot, they have the marks on the road. We shall go to the museum on wednesday. Today Monday 9th March we are going to Fort Worth, hopefully there will be more to see.
Mon 9th March we awoke early but didnt leave the hostel till 12ish, we went to Fort Worth to see the stock yards - many cowboy snd one cow girrl were around the area. Many shops were available for us to look at, some had things at a really stupid price. we hung around for the majority of the day and it was interesting to see an old fashioned western area, in fact modernised but you still had that feeling of being part of a western. The next few days we are unsure what we'll do as there is nothing else apart from the 6th floor museum in Dallas. probably save money before getting to our next destination.
We have spent the last two days doing nothing, so much for travelling we have stayed somewhere, where you would expect there to be lots when in reality there is absolutely nothing. Its been a boring two days but we luckily get to leave tomorrow to Washington DC.
