Well we have done so much since our last blog that we are now tryna play catch up! We met some people in Mui Ne on our first day and because its cheaper with 4 people we booked a tour for the next day. The tour was in a 4x4 jeep and it took you round all the sights in Mui Ne. The day started quite eventful, we had just finished seeing the fishing village which was great (we sat for a while and shamefully laughed at the people trying but not succeding to get their boat in the water!) as soon as we left the jeep got a flat tyre and with the driver not speaking a word of English we just prayed he had a spare. Luckily he did and he changed it very quickly which we were all pleased about as even though it was 9am the temperature was about 30 degrees and there was no shade! After that we went to the white sand dunes which were amazing, the driver just drops us off and tells us to come back when we were done which was cool! We walked up the sand dunes a bit with a little kid trailing behind us asking us if we wanted to do sand sledging (which of course we did) so we climbed a moderatley high sand dune and all four of us flew done it and absolutely loved it, even though you did get lots of sand in your pants! We tried going down all 4 of us together but the sledges came apart and me and adam just ended up rolling down the hill anyway! After we had mastered the medium we went to the really high sand dune and it actually looked really scary! Adam was very brave and went down on his front, but i however stuck to sitting up! Although this was great fun (we got videos so you can see) walking back up the sand dune each time was knackering so we soon opted for just sitting on our very sandy bums! Moving on from here we stopped at the red canyon which was a very miniture version of the grand canyon but climbing up that and the view was just spectacular! We then stopped for lunch which was good timing as the sky opened up and a storm hit Mui Ne, not being bothered by a bit of rain we decided to climb the red sand dunes with more kids tagging along practising their English which was great, they spoke very well! After this we went to the Fairy Stream which we thought we would see the stream and leave, but no the day had more surprises in store for us, we had to walk up the stream until we reached a waterfall (about 1km), all being a bit dubious about being in the water we took it slowly to begin with, so with flip flops in hand the rain pouring down we walked and walked and then climbed a hill and there were 2 waterfalls which were really gorgeous, you just wanted to jump in them (but we didnt) but we did walk all the way back in the stream too, we thought if we walked in it that long then maybe we would turn into fairys (it never happened im afraid sorry to disappoint). Anyway after this we all went back to the bungalow and then jumped in the sea, it was then that we realised how strong the rip tide was, after being in the sae about 20 minutes we had to walk miles back to the bugalow as it had taken us so far! We went out that night with the people we met (Dan and Paige, Canadian) and we got very very drunk, especially me and Paige, then at about midnight after drinking 2 bottles of wine on the beach we went down to the sea to see some flosflouresants?!? I thought Paige was crazy when she mentioned they only come out at full moon, but straight away we see this bright blue glowing thing come up to shore, and it was so cool, it just kept glowing and glowing and then more and more showed up! However being in the sea fully clothed made us a little chilly so at about 2am we went to bed! Up early the next morning to catch the sun and we got very burnt even though we put loads of sun cream on and we went out about 9am (adam is peeling quite bad now!) Anyway we went out for dinner very red and very hot with dan and paige again, and again got very drunk even though we had to get up at 6am to catch our bus to Dalat, we had an amazing dinner that night, Adam had fish kebabs and i had red snapper and it was the best fish we have ever tasted! We stayed up playing again until 2am, then we woke up very hung over and felt very ill on the bus that loved the winding roads (i swear the bus driver really hated us). We arrived in Dalat safe and sound though!
We absolutely loved Mui Ne, it was a nice was to relax and we certainly felt we needed it after 3 weeks of a hectic travel schedule. We have run out of time now but the blogs for Dalat and then Nha Trang will be going on shortly.
We love and miss you all (the message from Amy and Al was great). Sylvie i hope your party was the best and i was very sad i couldn't be there, big hi to all the family.
Bye for now
