Friday 13th November - KARIOKE IN SHENZEN No rush to get up, it wasn't far to Shenzen and we had all day to get there. Didn't have any windows in room, so bit unsure on time. Thursday 12th November - ARRIVE IN GUANGZHOU What a morning. Rocked up to Guangzhou about 05:20ish - far too early to be churpy and think our tired moods rubbed off on others, as everyone seemed a little rude. The first taxi driver we spoke to asked for 40 yaun, which we got down to 30 yaun, but he wouldn't go any lower. Thinking he was pulling a fast one, we got into another one and asked the guy to use his meter. It turned out to be exactly 30 yaun, oh well,...

Continue Tuesday 10th November - ARRIVED IN GUILIN It was quite a trip and we arrived after dark. Feeling hungry Ad grabbed a parcel covered in banana leaf as a snack. It contained rice and beans, was ok a bit salty for my liking. Got a cab to the Breakfast Backpackers hostel and managed to get in a dorm room for the night. A nice chilled out place with many tourists lounging in the café area in front of reception. We dumped our bags and headed out to the town....

Monday 9th November - THE MOST UPSETTING WALK OF MY LIFE Had yet another delicious breakfast, we discussed what to do for the day. As we didn't fancy doing any of the touristy bits and had seen most of the surrounding areas, we decided to move on. Said our goodbyes and thanked them for such a great stay, really loved it here.
