Adam and Charlotte's Great Escape.
Hello to everyone still reading our postcards!!!
Monday night we went to the Sydney Opera House to watch a performance by the Australian Ballet in collaboration with an Australian contemporary group. It was nice to go into the Opera House to see something rather than paying for a tour and the performance was vibrant and certainly a highlight of our trip.
Last Tuesday was Adam's birthday and he wants you all to no he had a fantastic day. He decided weeks ago that he would like to climb the Harbour Bridge on his birthday, but when we woke up the weather was grey and dingy so we debated whether to climb it or not. After a bit of brekkie the sky seemed to clear and we took a chance but can you believe it rained!!!!! The people at BridgeClimb suit you out well, we were given a telebubby all-in-one and a batman utility belt which had a spaceman rain coat attacted to it which became very useful. Although the views were hampered by the rain the actual climbing lived up to expectations.
We finished the day off with a meal at Doyals which is a seafood resturant. I tell you we were stuffed after 3 courses and a hot chocolate for the road. The food was superb!!
As we climbed the Harbour Bridge we got free entrey into the Pylon lookout which is one of the tower of the Harbour Bridge. So on Wednesday we took advantage of this in the hope that the weather would be better to see Sydney's views. However, it did rain while we were up there but without the rain a full circle rainbow would not have appeared, nither of us have ever seen this shape of rainbow. The museum inside was also very interesting to look around.
Check out the pictures,
Charlotte and Ad xx
